Chapter 5 – The Name Everyone Feared ❀️‍πŸ”₯

🎡 Song: Ilahi – Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (Instrumental)

"Some names are introduced with smiles...

Others arrive with warnings."

The first rays of sunlight streamed through Aarohi's bedroom curtains.

Today wasn't just another morning.

It was her first day at her new school.

Her heart had been fluttering with nervousness since she woke up.

Standing before the mirror in her neatly ironed school uniform, she adjusted her tie for what felt like the tenth time.

Her long hair was tied into a simple ponytail, and her bright blue eyes reflected equal parts excitement and anxiety.

Behind her...

Anaya walked into the room wearing her own school uniform.

She looked at Aarohi and dramatically sighed.

"You've checked your tie more times than I've blinked today."

Aarohi smiled nervously.

"I just don't want to look untidy."

"You look perfect."

Anaya hugged her from behind.

"Don't worry, Didi."

"You'll make lots of friends."

Aarohi smiled softly.

"I hope so."

Downstairs...

Rajeev was waiting with the car keys.

"Ready?"

Aarohi nodded.

Nandini handed both daughters their lunchboxes.

"And remember..."

She lovingly held Aarohi's face.

"If something feels difficult..."

"Just call me."

Aarohi smiled.

"I will."

Meanwhile...

Across the street...

The Malhotra mansion looked completely different.

A loud bike horn echoed through the driveway.

A black sports bike stood waiting outside.

Reyansh walked downstairs with one hand casually holding his school blazer over his shoulder.

His shirt sleeves were folded to his elbows.

Tie loose.

Hair messy.

Bag hanging carelessly from one shoulder.

He looked less like a school student...

and more like someone going on an adventure.

Meera stopped him midway.

"Reyansh."

"Hmm?"

She fixed his crooked tie.

"How many times have I told you to wear it properly?"

He smiled lazily.

"It'll become loose again."

"So?"

"So why waste your energy?"

She lightly smacked his arm.

"Hopeless."

Kabir laughed from behind.

"Mumma, don't waste your time."

"He'll mess it up in five minutes."

Reyansh looked offended.

"I take at least three."

Everyone burst into laughter.

Outside the gate...

A boy was already waiting on another bike.

"Finally!"

He removed his helmet.

Arjun Khanna.

Reyansh's best friend since childhood.

Completely opposite in personality.

Calm where Reyansh was impulsive.

Responsible where Reyansh was reckless.

Yet somehow...

They balanced each other perfectly.

Arjun folded his arms.

"You made me wait fifteen minutes."

"I was blessing my family with my presence."

"You were sleeping."

"...Maybe."

Arjun rolled his eyes.

"I seriously don't know why we're friends."

Reyansh smirked.

"Because your life would be boring without me."

"That's unfortunately true."

The two laughed before starting their bikes.

As they rode toward school...

Arjun glanced sideways.

"So..."

"I heard your new neighbours moved in yesterday."

"Hmm."

"Uncle's best friend's family, right?"

"Yeah."

"Met them?"

"Not really."

"My parents did."

Reyansh shrugged.

"I was out."

Arjun nodded.

"So nothing interesting?"

"No."

Little did Reyansh know...

Something very interesting had already begun.

He just wasn't aware of it yet.

A few minutes later...

The grand gates of St. Xavier's Senior Secondary School came into view.

Students filled the campus.

Some chatting.

Some laughing.

Some rushing toward their classrooms.

Rajeev parked the car near the entrance.

He looked at Aarohi.

"Ready?"

She took a deep breath.

"No."

He smiled.

"Good."

She looked confused.

"The best beginnings always start with nervousness."

Nandini added softly,

"Just be yourself."

Aarohi nodded.

"I'll try."

She stepped out of the car.

The moment she entered the campus...

Everything suddenly felt overwhelming.

Hundreds of unfamiliar faces.

Different buildings.

Groups of friends already laughing together.

For a second...

She wondered if she'd made a mistake.

"Excuse me?"

A cheerful voice interrupted her thoughts.

She turned around.

Standing before her was a girl wearing the same Class 11 uniform.

She had expressive brown eyes, a bright smile, and an energetic personality.

"You're the new admission, right?"

Aarohi nodded.

"Yes."

The girl smiled warmly.

"I'm Mehak Kapoor."

She extended her hand.

"I'm in Class 11-A."

Aarohi shook it politely.

"I'm Aarohi Sharma."

"Welcome!"

Mehak beamed.

"I'll show you around."

Relief washed over Aarohi's face.

"Really?"

"Of course."

"No one should spend their first day alone."

For the first time that morning...

Aarohi genuinely smiled.

"Thank you."

Within half an hour...

The girls were already chatting comfortably.

Mehak was friendly enough to make even Aarohi forget her nervousness.

"So..."

Mehak asked while walking through the corridor,

"Where did you shift from?"

They continued talking.

Studies.

Favourite subjects.

Teachers.

Hobbies.

By lunch break...

It already felt as if they had known each other for months.

As they stood near the school garden...

A sudden commotion erupted near the basketball court.

Students immediately started whispering.

"They're here."

"Move aside."

"Don't get involved."

Aarohi looked confused.

"What happened?"

Mehak's cheerful expression faded.

She looked toward the crowd.

"Oh no..."

"What?"

Mehak sighed.

"You'll probably hear this name a lot."

A group of boys walked confidently through the corridor.

In the centre...

Walking as if the school belonged to him...

was Reyansh Malhotra.

Hands casually inside his pockets.

Shirt untucked.

Tie hanging loosely around his neck.

Several boys greeted him as he passed.

Girls openly stared.

Some even whispered excitedly.

He didn't seem to care.

Arjun walked beside him, talking about the upcoming football trials.

Reyansh simply nodded.

"Bro," Arjun said.

"You skipped chemistry again yesterday."

"I survived."

"One day you won't."

"I'll survive that too."

"You know Sharma Sir wants to suspend you again?"

Reyansh smirked.

"He says that every month."

"You've already been suspended twice."

"Three."

Arjun corrected him.

"Right."

"Three."

"And you're smiling?"

"What else should I do?"

Arjun shook his head.

"You're impossible."

Reyansh laughed.

Nearby...

A junior accidentally dropped his books.

Before the younger boy could bend down...

A senior pushed him aside rudely.

Without saying a word...

Reyansh stepped forward.

He picked up every notebook.

Returned them to the frightened junior.

Then looked coldly at the senior.

"Pick on someone your own size."

The senior quietly walked away.

Arjun smiled knowingly.

"There you go again."

Reyansh shrugged.

"I just hate bullies."

Then...

As if nothing had happened...

He walked away.

Aarohi witnessed the entire scene.

She blinked.

"That wasn't rude..."

"He actually helped him."

Before she could think further...

Mehak grabbed her wrist.

"Aarohi."

"Hmm?"

"If I can give you one piece of advice..."

She spoke seriously.

"Stay away from Reyansh Malhotra."

Aarohi looked surprised.

"Why?"

Mehak sighed.

"You saw him helping someone."

"That's one side."

"But that's not the whole story."

She continued,

"He's rich."

"Popular."

"The captain of almost every sports team."

"Half the girls in school have a crush on him."

"But..."

She lowered her voice.

"He fights."

"He breaks rules."

"He's been suspended three times."

"He scares teachers."

"He never listens to anyone."

"And when he gets angry..."

"Even seniors stay away."

Another student walking past overheard them.

"You don't know him?"

Mehak shook her head.

"She's new."

The girl immediately looked at Aarohi.

"Then remember one thing."

"Stay away from Reyansh Malhotra."

A boy nearby added,

"He'll only bring trouble."

Another nodded.

"Everyone who gets close to him ends up in some kind of drama."

Someone else whispered,

"He's the school's biggest red flag."

Aarohi looked toward the basketball court once again.

Reyansh was laughing with Arjun.

Completely carefree.

Nothing about him matched the terrifying image everyone was describing.

She remembered...

The quiet boy under the moonlight.

The loving son who obediently drank milk because his mother insisted.

The caring brother Kabir admired so much.

And now...

The boy who had quietly helped a junior without expecting thanks.

"Who is the real Reyansh Malhotra?"

The question echoed in her mind.

Because the stories she had heard...

And the boy she had seen...

Didn't seem to belong to the same person.

Far away...

Completely unaware that the new senior girl was thinking about him...

Reyansh laughed at something Arjun had said.

Neither of them knew...

That fate had already placed them on the same path.
