Chapter 64-Six Brothers on Guard

"To her, it was just a birthday party. To her brothers, it felt like the entire world had suddenly discovered their little sister."

Saturday evening finally arrived.

The entire Rathore Mansion was unusually busy.

After all...

It wasn't just any birthday party.

It was Aarav Khanna's seventeenth birthday.

Aadhya stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the sleeves of her pastel blue Anarkali suit.

It was simple yet elegant.

Her hair was left half open with soft curls.

Tiny pearl earrings completed the look.

She smiled nervously.

"I hope I'm not overdressed..."

Just then, there was a knock.

"Come in."

Vivaan walked inside.

For a full five seconds...

He simply stared.

Then he dramatically covered his eyes.

"No."

Aadhya frowned.

"What happened?"

"You look too pretty."

She laughed.

"Is that supposed to be a compliment?"

"It is."

"But now I'm worried."

A few minutes later...

She came downstairs.

The six brothers looked up.

For a brief moment...

No one spoke.

Advik was the first to recover.

"Our Munchkin grew up overnight."

Vihaan smiled proudly.

"Pumpkin, you look beautiful."

Rudransh nodded warmly.

"You look lovely, Dove."

Aryaveer smiled.

"Our Sunshine is going to steal the spotlight."

Veeransh looked at her for a moment before saying quietly,

"You look nice, Chhoti."

Vivaan sighed dramatically.

"I've decided."

"We're cancelling the party."

Everyone laughed.

Soon...

The Rathore family arrived at the beautifully decorated Khanna residence.

Fairy lights twinkled across the garden.

Music played softly.

Guests chatted happily.

The birthday decorations filled the lawn.

Aarav immediately walked over.

"You came!"

He smiled at Aadhya.

"I'm glad."

She handed him a neatly wrapped gift.

"Happy Birthday."

"Thank you."

Then he greeted Vikram and all six brothers respectfully.

"It's good to see all of you."

Advik smiled.

"We heard there would be cake."

The evening went smoothly.

Games.

Music.

Photographs.

Laughter.

Aadhya reunited with a few students from her old school who recognized her.

They happily recalled old memories.

One by one, they congratulated her on winning Student of the Year and her art competitions.

Her brothers watched from nearby.

Advik quietly whispered,

"She's smiling a lot today."

Vivaan nodded.

"Too much."

A little later...

A group of teenagers gathered near the refreshment table.

Aadhya stood with Aarav and a few of his school friends.

One of them, Rohan, smiled politely.

"So..."

"You're Aadhya?"

She nodded.

"Yes."

"I've heard a lot about your paintings."

"Really?"

"My sister follows your school's art page."

"You paint really well."

Aadhya smiled politely.

"Thank you."

"You should participate in the state competition next year."

"I've been thinking about it."

Their conversation remained completely friendly.

They discussed painting, school competitions, and favorite books.

Nothing more.

Across the lawn...

Six pairs of eyes were fixed in exactly one direction.

Vivaan slowly lowered his juice glass.

"Who's that?"

Advik narrowed his eyes.

"Blue shirt."

"Too many smiles."

Vihaan folded his arms.

"He's talking a lot."

Aryaveer calmly observed.

"They're discussing art."

Advik looked surprised.

"How do you know?"

"I've been watching."

"You've been watching?"

Aryaveer calmly took another sip of coffee.

"Yes."

Veeransh quietly spoke.

"He's trying to keep the conversation going."

Vivaan gasped dramatically.

"Exactly!"

Rudransh sighed.

"You all..."

"They're simply talking."

Just then...

Rohan laughed at something Aadhya said.

She laughed too.

Advik clutched his chest.

"I've been replaced."

Vihaan shook his head.

"No."

"Temporary distraction."

Vivaan looked ready to march over.

"I should go."

Veeransh gently stopped him.

"No."

"We're guests."

"We're not creating a scene."

Vivaan sighed dramatically.

"Fine."

"But I'm watching."

A few minutes later...

Aarav called everyone together.

"Cake time!"

The entire garden gathered around.

Everyone sang.

Aarav cut the cake.

Applause filled the air.

He fed the first piece to his parents.

The second to Vikram Uncle.

Then to Aadhya as an old friend.

She smiled and wished him again.

The brothers exchanged glances.

Advik whispered,

"I know it's just cake..."

"...but I still don't like it."

Vihaan elbowed him.

"Behave."

The evening ended with photographs.

Before leaving...

Rohan politely waved.

"Bye, Aadhya."

"It was nice meeting you."

She smiled.

"You too."

"Good luck for the art competition."

"Thanks."

The Rathores finally returned home.

The moment the mansion doors closed behind them...

Complete silence.

Aadhya looked around suspiciously.

"Why is everyone so quiet?"

No answer.

She narrowed her eyes.

"...What happened?"

Advik cleared his throat.

"Family meeting."

She sighed.

"I knew it."

Everyone gathered in the living room.

Vivaan spoke first.

"So..."

"Who was Blue Shirt?"

Aadhya blinked.

"Blue Shirt?"

"The boy you were talking to."

"Oh!"

"You mean Rohan?"

"See?"

Vivaan dramatically pointed at everyone.

"She knows his name."

Aadhya laughed.

"Because he introduced himself!"

Vihaan folded his arms.

"He was talking to you for a long time."

"We were discussing paintings."

Advik looked suspicious.

"He smiled too much."

"He was being polite."

Veeransh quietly asked,

"Did he make you uncomfortable at any point?"

Aadhya immediately shook her head.

"No."

"Not at all."

"He was respectful."

"He just liked art."

The tension in the room eased.

Rudransh smiled.

"That's all we wanted to know."

"If anyone ever makes you uncomfortable..."

"You tell us."

"Immediately."

She nodded.

"I promise."

Aryaveer looked at his younger brothers.

"I think we've embarrassed Sunshine enough for one day."

Vivaan looked down sheepishly.

"...Maybe a little."

Aadhya walked over to the sofa and sat between Vivaan and Vihaan.

Then she smiled.

"Can I tell you all something?"

They nodded.

"I know you worry."

"I know you become protective."

"And honestly..."

"I feel lucky."

She looked at each of them.

"But I also want you to know something."

"What?" Veeransh asked softly.

"I'm not looking for anyone."

"My world is already very full."

She smiled brightly.

"I have Papa..."

"...and six brothers who follow me with their eyes wherever I go."

Everyone laughed.

Advik grinned.

"So..."

"We're still your favourite boys?"

She rolled her eyes dramatically.

"You always will be."

Vivaan immediately hugged her.

"I knew it!"

Vihaan ruffled her hair.

"Good answer, Pumpkin."

Aryaveer smiled.

"Our Sunshine is wiser than all of us."

Veeransh gently patted her head.

"Goodnight, Chhoti."

Later that night...

As the brothers sat on the terrace together, Advik looked at the others.

"You know..."

"We really were jealous."

Vivaan nodded honestly.

"I didn't like sharing her attention."

Vihaan smiled.

"I guess that's what happens when someone becomes the heart of the house."

Aryaveer looked toward Aadhya's bedroom window, where the light had just turned off.

"Our sister is growing up."

There was a brief silence.

Then Rudransh smiled.

"She'll meet many people in life."

"But did you notice something today?"

"What?" Advik asked.

"No matter who she talked to..."

"When it was time to leave..."

"The first people she looked for..."

"...were us."

The brothers smiled.

Veeransh looked toward the stars.

"And I hope..."

"No matter where life takes our Chhoti..."

"That never changes."

Far upstairs...

Aadhya stood by her window, looking at the moon with a smile.

She knew her brothers could be dramatic.

Overprotective.

Completely impossible.

But she also knew one thing for certain.

No matter how many people she met...

Home would always be wherever her Papa and her six brothers were.
