"Having protective brothers means that sometimes the jokes sound suspiciously like real rules."
The laughter from breakfast still echoed through Rathore Mansion.
Aadhya carried the empty juice glasses into the kitchen, still smiling to herself.
Behind her...
The six brothers remained seated around the dining table.
The moment she disappeared into the kitchen...
Advik slowly leaned forward.
"So..."
Vivaan immediately understood.
"Emergency brothers' meeting?"
Aryaveer sighed.
"We literally just had one yesterday."
"We need another."
Vihaan nodded seriously.
"This is an important matter."
Rudransh couldn't help but laugh.
"You all really aren't letting the boyfriend topic go, are you?"
"No."
All five answered together.
Even Veeransh gave a small nod.
Five minutes later...
The dining table had somehow become a "conference room."
Vivaan stood near the whiteboard used for family schedules.
With a marker in his hand, he wrote in bold lettersβ
Future Brother-in-Law Rules
Advik clapped enthusiastically.
"This is historic."
Aryaveer rubbed his forehead.
"I already know this is going to become ridiculous."
Vivaan wrote the first point.
Rule 1: Must respect our sister.
Rudransh smiled.
"That one stays."
Vihaan added,
Rule 2: Must never make her cry.
Veeransh quietly nodded.
"Agreed."
Advik grabbed the marker.
Rule 3: Must like homemade food.
Everyone looked at him.
"What?"
"If he says no to Aadhya's pancakes one day..."
"He clearly has bad judgment."
The room filled with laughter.
Vivaan eagerly added another.
Rule 4: Must love all six brothers.
Aryaveer raised an eyebrow.
"That's impossible."
"I know."
Vivaan grinned proudly.
"That's why it's a good test."
Vihaan laughed.
"Add another one."
"He must survive a cricket match with me."
Advik continued,
"And a movie marathon with me."
Rudransh smiled.
"And a long conversation with Papa."
Veeransh quietly spoke.
"And he must never make her feel like she has to earn love."
The room became silent.
That rule wasn't funny.
It came straight from the heart.
Aryaveer calmly wrote it beneath the others.
No one joked after that.
Just then...
Aadhya walked back into the dining room carrying a fruit bowl.
She stopped.
Looked at the whiteboard.
Looked at her brothers.
Then back at the whiteboard.
"...Should I be worried?"
Advik immediately stood in front of it.
"No."
Vivaan spread his arms dramatically.
"Highly confidential."
Aadhya narrowed her eyes.
"I can literally see the title."
Vivaan looked behind him.
"Oh."
She slowly walked closer.
"Hmm..."
"'Future Brother-in-Law Rules?'"
She looked at Aryaveer.
"Bhaiya?"
Aryaveer tried very hard not to smile.
"It's mostly their idea."
"You wrote on it too!"
"I corrected the spelling."
Aadhya laughed so hard she had to hold the chair.
"You all are unbelievable."
Vivaan folded his arms.
"We're just planning ahead."
She raised an eyebrow.
"I'm fifteen."
"Exactly."
"We're starting early."
She picked up the marker lying on the table.
"Oh?"
"If you're making rules..."
"I should make some too."
The brothers exchanged curious glances.
"You have rules?"
She nodded confidently.
"Of course."
She turned the whiteboard over.
On the clean side she wroteβ
Rules for My Brothers
Advik blinked.
"...Uh-oh."
She smiled mischievously.
"Rule One."
"No frightening anyone before you've even spoken to them."
Vihaan looked away innocently.
"I don't know who that's aimed at."
Everyone stared at him.
"Rule Two."
"No secret investigations."
Aryaveer quietly cleared his throat.
"I feel slightly targeted."
"Rule Three."
"No judging people after meeting them for five minutes."
Advik slowly raised his hand.
"Question."
"What if it's four minutes?"
"Advik Bhaiya..."
She laughed.
"No."
"Rule Four."
"You have to trust the values you've taught me."
The smiles slowly faded.
She looked at all six of them.
"You've taught me to respect myself."
"To recognize kindness."
"To speak up if something feels wrong."
"To never settle for less than respect."
She smiled softly.
"If you trust yourselves..."
"Then trust me too."
The brothers looked at one another.
Her words were simple.
But they carried weight.
Vikram, who had quietly entered during the conversation, smiled proudly.
"I think your sister has made an excellent point."
The brothers turned around.
"Papa!"
He walked over to the whiteboard.
Read every single rule.
Then picked up the marker.
He added one final sentence beneath both lists.
The only person worthy of Aadhya's trust will be someone who respects her, values her dreams, and understands that her family will always be part of her life.
He capped the marker.
"There."
"That's the only rule that truly matters."
Vivaan scratched the back of his head.
"So..."
"We're... keeping our list?"
Vikram smiled.
"You may."
"As long as you remember..."
"It isn't your job to choose her future."
"It's your job to support her."
Veeransh looked at Aadhya.
"We'll try."
She smiled warmly.
"I know."
Advik suddenly pointed toward the whiteboard.
"I have one last request."
"What?"
"If this future person ever comes..."
"He still has to survive my movie marathon."
Aadhya laughed.
"I think anyone who survives all six of you deserves an award."
Vivaan grinned.
"They'll definitely need one."
The whiteboard remained in the family room for the rest of the day.
Every person who walked past it smiled.
Not because the rules were serious.
But because they reflected something much deeper.
Six brothers who loved too fiercely.
One sister who understood that love.
And a father who gently reminded them all...
That protecting someone also meant trusting them.
As the evening settled over Rathore Mansion...
Aadhya looked around at her loud, dramatic, impossible family.
Then shook her head with a smile.
"My brothers are completely crazy."
Vivaan overheard her.
He proudly placed an arm around her shoulders.
"Maybe."
"But we're your crazy brothers."
Aadhya laughed.
"And I wouldn't trade you for the world."
The brothers smiled.
Neither would they.
