"Some people protect you with words. Some protect you with actions. And some simply stand beside you so the world knows—you are not alone."
It was Sunday morning.
The first rays of sunlight streamed through the windows of Rathore Mansion.
The aroma of fresh incense drifted from the home's temple.
At breakfast, Vikram looked around the table.
"It's been a while since we've all visited the temple together."
Vivaan's eyes lit up.
"Family outing!"
Advik grinned.
"As long as breakfast comes first."
Everyone laughed.
Vikram smiled.
"We'll leave in an hour."
For Aadhya...
This would be her first temple visit as a Rathore.
She quietly went upstairs to get ready.
A little later, she came downstairs wearing a simple pastel yellow salwar suit with a white dupatta.
Her hair was neatly braided.
She wore only tiny pearl earrings and a thin silver bracelet—the one Aryaveer had gifted her.
The brothers looked up almost simultaneously.
Vivaan beamed.
"Twinny, you look so pretty!"
Advik dramatically placed a hand over his heart.
"Our Munchkin is growing up."
Vihaan smiled proudly.
"Our Pumpkin looks ready to steal everyone's attention."
Aadhya blushed.
"You all tease too much."
Veeransh, standing near the door, simply smiled.
"You look nice, Chhoti."
That simple sentence made her smile even wider.
Soon...
The entire family reached the famous temple.
The entrance buzzed with devotees.
Temple bells echoed through the air.
Children laughed.
Priests chanted prayers.
The fragrance of flowers and sandalwood filled the surroundings.
Aadhya folded her hands respectfully.
"It's beautiful..."
she whispered.
Rudransh smiled.
"It is."
As they walked toward the main shrine...
The pathway became crowded.
People moved in every direction.
Vikram led the way.
Aryaveer walked beside him.
The others naturally spread out around Aadhya.
At first...
She didn't even notice.
While standing in the queue...
A few men nearby kept glancing repeatedly toward the siblings.
One or two let their gaze linger in a way that made Aadhya visibly uncomfortable.
She instinctively lowered her eyes and took a small step back.
Vivaan noticed first.
His cheerful expression faded.
He quietly moved closer until he was standing beside her.
Without making a scene, he gently held her hand.
"You okay, Twinny?"
She nodded softly.
"Yes."
But he could tell she wasn't.
Vihaan followed her gaze.
He immediately understood.
Without saying a word...
He shifted to stand on her other side.
Advik, noticing the change, casually stepped behind her.
Rudransh and Aryaveer moved slightly forward.
Veeransh calmly took position a little to her left.
Within moments...
It happened so naturally that no one else seemed to notice.
The six brothers had formed a quiet protective circle around their sister.
Not aggressive.
Not confrontational.
Simply present.
Their calm presence made it unmistakably clear—
She was with her family.
She was not alone.
Aadhya looked around in surprise.
"Bhaiya..."
Vivaan smiled.
"Comfortable now?"
She looked at each of them.
Aryaveer stood with quiet confidence.
Rudransh gently asked,
"Too crowded?"
She nodded a little.
"It's okay."
"We're here," he replied.
The family slowly moved forward.
When it was finally their turn...
They stood before the deity together.
The priest handed Vikram the aarti thali.
The family joined their hands in prayer.
Aadhya closed her eyes.
For the first time in years...
She prayed without asking for strength to survive.
Instead...
She whispered,
"Thank You."
"Thank You for giving me a family."
After the aarti...
The priest offered prasad to everyone.
As Aadhya reached out to accept it, the crowd shifted unexpectedly.
Before she could lose her balance...
A steady hand supported her elbow.
Veeransh.
"Careful, Chhoti."
She smiled.
"I'm okay."
He nodded.
"I know."
"I just like making sure."
Outside the temple...
The family sat beneath a large peepal tree for a while.
Vivaan happily shared his ladoo with Aadhya.
Advik pretended someone had stolen half of his prasad.
"I'm being robbed in broad daylight!"
Vihaan laughed.
"You already ate your own."
"Oh."
"That explains it."
Everyone burst into laughter.
As they walked back toward the cars...
Aadhya slowed her pace.
She looked at her brothers.
"Can I ask something?"
Aryaveer nodded.
"Of course."
She hesitated.
"You all... surrounded me inside."
"Why?"
The brothers exchanged knowing smiles.
Finally, Aryaveer answered.
"Because we noticed you were uncomfortable."
Rudransh continued gently,
"You shouldn't have to feel uneasy while praying."
Vihaan smiled.
"So we did what brothers do."
"We stood with our sister."
Advik added dramatically,
"And besides..."
"No one gets a better security team than ours."
Vivaan puffed out his chest proudly.
"Six bodyguards."
"Twenty-four hours."
"Seven days a week."
Veeransh folded his arms.
"Lifetime contract."
Everyone laughed.
Aadhya looked at each of them, her eyes glistening.
"When I was younger..."
She spoke softly.
"I always wished someone would hold my hand in crowded places."
Vivaan immediately intertwined his fingers with hers.
"Wish granted."
She laughed through happy tears.
Vikram, who had been listening quietly, smiled warmly.
"Aadhya."
She looked at him.
"There will always be moments when the world isn't as kind as it should be."
He gently rested a hand on her head.
"But remember this..."
"You never have to face those moments by yourself."
She nodded.
"I know, Papa."
And she truly meant it.
As the family drove back home, laughter once again filled the car.
Aadhya looked out of the window, then down at her hand.
Vivaan was still holding it.
She smiled to herself.
Once...
She had walked through life believing she had to protect herself from everything.
Now...
She had six brothers who quietly formed a circle around her whenever she needed one.
Not because they believed she was weak.
But because they wanted her to know...
She would always be safe with them.
To Be Continued...
