Chapter 48-You Never Have to Hide

"The people who truly love you will never make you feel ashamed of becoming who you were always meant to be."

The moment Vivaan finished speaking...

The entire Rathore family looked toward the staircase.

Vikram's expression immediately filled with concern.

"What happened?"

Vivaan shook his head.

"I'm not completely sure, Papa."

"Siya only told me that Twinny wasn't feeling well and that she needs to rest."

Vihaan stepped forward.

"She was unusually quiet throughout the journey home."

"She didn't even argue when Vivaan carried her bag."

Advik frowned.

"That's definitely not normal."

Rudransh, who had just returned from the hospital after his morning rounds, immediately became alert.

"I'll go check on her."

Before anyone else could move...

A soft knock echoed through the main door.

Ramu Kaka opened it.

Standing outside were Siya and Kiara.

Both girls looked slightly nervous.

"Namaste."

"Can we please meet Uncle?"

Vikram welcomed them inside.

"Of course, beta."

"What happened?"

The two girls exchanged a glance.

Siya spoke gently.

"Uncle..."

"It's nothing serious."

"But we thought someone at home should know."

Vikram listened carefully.

Kiara continued softly,

"Aadhya got her first period today."

The room became silent.

The brothers looked confused for a second.

Then realization slowly dawned.

Vivaan blinked.

"Oh..."

Vihaan quietly lowered his eyes.

Advik rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.

Aryaveer understood immediately.

Veeransh remained still.

Rudransh gave a small reassuring nod.

Siya continued,

"She got scared because... no one had ever explained these things to her."

"She thought something was wrong."

"The school nurse and our teacher helped her."

"We just wanted to make sure she doesn't feel embarrassed at home."

Vikram's heart clenched.

His little girl...

Had gone through such an important moment...

Completely frightened.

Completely alone.

Simply because no one had cared enough to prepare her.

He folded his hands gratefully.

"Thank you."

"Both of you."

"You took care of our daughter when she needed someone."

Kiara smiled warmly.

"She's our friend, Uncle."

"We'll always be there for her."

Vivaan stepped forward.

"Thank you for staying with Twinny."

Siya smiled.

"She would've done the same for us."

After talking for a few more minutes, the girls went home.

Silence settled over the living room.

Advik finally spoke.

"So..."

"What do we do?"

Rudransh answered calmly.

"Nothing dramatic."

"She probably has cramps and feels tired."

"She needs rest, proper food, water, and someone to reassure her that everything she's experiencing is completely normal."

Vivaan looked guilty.

"She must've been so scared."

Veeransh quietly closed the book in his hands.

"No fifteen-year-old should have to go through that without knowing what's happening."

Aryaveer nodded.

"Let's make sure she never feels alone again."

Just then...

The doorbell rang once more.

Ramu Kaka returned with a small shopping bag.

"Sir..."

"The medical store delivered what Dr. Rudransh had asked for."

Inside were...

Sanitary pads.

A heating pad.

Dark chocolates.

Pain relief medicine.

Herbal tea.

Rudransh checked everything.

"Perfect."

Vikram looked around at his sons.

"I'll talk to her first."

Everyone nodded.

A gentle knock sounded on Aadhya's bedroom door.

"Aadhya?"

"It's Papa."

She quickly wiped her eyes.

"Come in..."

Vikram entered quietly.

He found her sitting near the window in fresh clothes, hugging her knees.

She immediately looked down.

"I'm sorry..."

Vikram frowned.

"For what?"

"I..."

"I made everyone worry."

He walked over and sat beside her.

For a few moments...

Neither of them spoke.

Then he gently placed his hand over hers.

"Beta..."

"You have absolutely nothing to apologize for."

She whispered,

"I didn't know what was happening."

"I thought..."

"I was hurt again."

Fresh tears rolled down her cheeks.

"I got scared."

Vikram's heart broke.

He gently pulled her into a hug.

"It's alright."

"You never have to be scared alone again."

She buried her face against his shoulder.

"I didn't know who to ask."

"You can always ask me."

"And if it feels awkward..."

He smiled softly.

"You have Rudransh."

"You have your teachers."

"You have Siya and Kiara."

"And most importantly..."

"You have a family now."

"A family that will never let you face anything alone."

She slowly nodded.

A little later...

There was another knock.

"Can we come in?"

It was all six brothers.

Aadhya quickly wiped her eyes.

"Yes..."

The brothers entered one by one.

No one looked awkward.

No one teased her.

No one made her uncomfortable.

Instead...

Vivaan walked straight over and sat beside her.

"Twinny..."

"You scared me today."

She smiled weakly.

"I'm sorry."

He immediately shook his head.

"No more sorry."

"You remember?"

She nodded.

"Right..."

"No more sorry."

Advik placed a small chocolate on her bedside table.

"Emergency chocolate delivery."

She looked at him.

"You don't have toβ€”"

"I know."

"But I wanted to."

Vihaan held up a fluffy hot-water bag.

"I asked Rudra Bhai how to use this."

"He gave me a five-minute lecture."

Rudransh smiled.

"It was a thirty-second explanation."

"It felt like five minutes."

Everyone laughed softly.

The tension eased.

Aryaveer placed a neatly packed paper bag beside her.

"Just in case you need anything for school."

Inside were extra sanitary pads, wet wipes, hand sanitizer, and a small pouch.

Aadhya looked at him in surprise.

"You bought all this?"

He smiled.

"I asked one of my colleagues for advice."

"You'll keep this in your school bag from now on."

She nodded quietly.

"Thank you..."

"Thank you, Sunshine."

He corrected gently.

"You don't have to thank your family."

Veeransh stepped closer.

He didn't say much.

That was never his style.

Instead...

He simply placed a new novel beside her pillow.

"I remembered you wanted to read this."

She looked at the cover.

It was the very book she had been searching for.

Her eyes lit up.

"You remembered?"

"I remember everything."

He replied simply.

Finally...

Rudransh sat beside the bed.

"How bad are the cramps?"

"A little better now."

He checked her temperature out of habit.

Normal.

Then he explained gently,

"What happened today is completely natural."

"It will happen every month."

"If the pain ever becomes too much..."

"Or anything worries you..."

"You'll tell me immediately."

"No hiding."

"No pretending."

"Understood?"

She nodded obediently.

"Yes, Bhaiya."

Vivaan suddenly raised his hand.

"I have one announcement."

Everyone looked at him.

He puffed out his chest dramatically.

"Every month..."

"When Twinny has these cramps..."

"I volunteer to carry her school bag."

Vihaan smiled.

"I'll walk slower on those days."

Advik grinned.

"I'll keep emergency chocolates stocked."

Aryaveer nodded.

"I'll make sure there's always a pouch ready."

Rudransh smiled.

"I'll keep the heating pad charged."

Veeransh looked at Aadhya.

"I'll handle the extra revision if you miss classes."

Vikram added warmly,

"And I'll make your favourite khichdi."

Aadhya stared at every face around her.

No disgust.

No irritation.

No embarrassment.

Only concern.

Only love.

Only family.

Tears slipped down her cheeks again.

Vivaan panicked.

"Twinny!"

"Did we say something wrong?"

She shook her head quickly.

"No..."

She smiled through her tears.

"I'm just..."

"...very lucky."

Vikram gently kissed her forehead.

"No, beta."

"We're the lucky ones."

That evening...

The brothers quietly left her room so she could rest.

Before closing the door...

Vivaan peeked inside once more.

"Twinny?"

"Hmm?"

"If you need anything..."

"You'll call us."

She smiled.

"I will."

"And if you don't..."

Advik added from the hallway,

"We'll come anyway."

A soft laugh escaped her lips.

The door closed gently.

Aadhya looked around her room.

At the chocolates.

The heating pad.

The pouch.

The novel.

The flowers on her bedside table.

Every little thing silently said the same words.

You are loved.

And for the first time in her life...

Growing up no longer felt frightening.

Because she knew...

She would never have to face it alone again.
