Chapter 22-Don't Mess With Our Sister

"The strongest protection isn't anger. It's making sure someone never has to face fear alone again."

A few weeks passed peacefully.

Aadhya had settled comfortably into life at St. Xavier's International School.

She attended classes with confidence.

Her teachers appreciated her sincerity.

She had become inseparable from Siya, Kiara, Kabir, Dev, and Arjun.

And throughout the school...

Everyone knew one thing.

If you were looking for Vivaan Rathore...

You would probably find his Twinny nearby.

It was Friday afternoon.

The last period had been Art.

Aadhya's favorite.

She had spent the entire class sketching the large banyan tree in the school courtyard.

Every leaf.

Every shadow.

Every tiny detail.

Even her art teacher paused beside her desk.

"This is beautiful, Aadhya."

She smiled shyly.

"Thank you, Ma'am."

After class ended, she carefully placed the sketchbook inside her desk before helping the teacher carry some art supplies.

She planned to collect it afterward.

When she returned...

Her sketchbook was gone.

She searched inside the desk.

Then beneath it.

Then in her school bag.

Nothing.

For a brief moment...

She simply stood there.

Confused.

Not far away, three senior boys exchanged amused looks.

One of them whispered,

"She'll probably notice now."

Another quietly held up the missing sketchbook.

"It was only a joke."

"We'll give it back."

The third nodded.

"We just wanted to see her reaction."

Aadhya looked around the classroom politely.

"Excuse me..."

"Has anyone seen my sketchbook?"

A few classmates shook their heads.

"No."

She smiled weakly.

"It's alright."

"I'll look again."

She didn't accuse anyone.

She didn't complain.

She simply continued searching.

Siya noticed immediately.

"What happened?"

"My sketchbook..."

"I can't find it."

Kiara frowned.

"You always keep it in your desk."

"I know."

Dev looked around suspiciously.

"Someone definitely took it."

Arjun folded his arms.

"Let's ask the class."

But Aadhya shook her head.

"It's okay."

"Maybe I misplaced it."

Kabir looked at her carefully.

"You never misplace your books."

She gave the same gentle smile.

"I'll find it."

Unfortunately...

Vivaan had heard the conversation.

"What happened?"

Dev answered before anyone else.

"Someone hid Twinny's sketchbook."

Vivaan's smile disappeared instantly.

"They what?"

Aadhya quickly spoke.

"It's okay."

"It was probably an accident."

Vivaan looked at her.

Then at the worried expressions on her friends' faces.

"No."

"It wasn't."

Within minutes...

Vivaan had already informed the class teacher.

The matter reached the Vice Principal.

The Vice Principal, knowing the Rathore family well, decided it was best to inform the school principal immediately.

The principal reassured everyone that it was a minor incident and that it would be handled appropriately.

He also called Vikram to let him know what had happenedβ€”not because Aadhya was in danger, but because she was new to the school and he believed the family should be informed.

Nearly forty minutes later...

A sleek black SUV entered the school campus.

Students looked through classroom windows.

"Someone important is here."

"I think it's the Rathores."

"No way..."

"It is!"

The corridors buzzed with whispers.

The principal welcomed them into his office.

Vikram had been delayed in an important meeting.

So...

Five familiar figures stepped inside first.

Aryaveer.

Rudransh.

Veeransh.

Advik.

Vihaan.

Vivaan, who was already inside, immediately stood up.

"Bhai!"

Aadhya's eyes widened.

"You all came?"

Advik looked at her dramatically.

"Of course."

"You thought we'd stay at home?"

The principal smiled politely.

"Please don't worry."

"No harm came to Aadhya."

"It appears to have been a prank."

Aryaveer's calm expression didn't change.

"We understand."

"We'd simply like to know what happened."

A few minutes later...

The three senior boys were called into the office.

The moment they saw all six Rathore brothers standing together...

Their confidence disappeared.

One of them swallowed nervously.

Another clutched the sketchbook he had been hiding.

The tallest boy stepped forward.

"Sir..."

"I'm sorry."

"It was just a joke."

He carefully held out the sketchbook toward Aadhya.

"I never meant to upset you."

Aadhya accepted it gently.

"Thank you."

She checked the pages.

Nothing was damaged.

She smiled softly.

"I'm glad it's okay."

The principal looked disappointed.

"A joke is only funny when everyone laughs."

The boys lowered their heads.

"Yes, Sir."

Aryaveer finally spoke.

His voice remained calm.

Controlled.

"There is one thing I'd like to say."

The seniors immediately straightened.

He looked directly at them.

"My sister is kind."

"So kind..."

"That she'll probably forgive you before we do."

Aadhya looked at him in surprise.

He continued,

"But kindness should never be mistaken for weakness."

The room became completely silent.

Rudransh spoke next.

"If something had happened to that sketchbook..."

"It wouldn't have been about paper."

"It would have been about respecting someone's hard work."

The boys nodded immediately.

"We understand."

Advik folded his arms.

"You wanted attention."

"Congratulations."

"You now have six brothers paying attention."

Even the principal struggled not to smile.

The tension eased slightly.

Vihaan stepped forward with a friendly smile.

"We're not here to scare you."

"We're here to make something clear."

He glanced at Aadhya.

"She deserves the same respect as every student in this school."

Finally...

Everyone's eyes turned toward Veeransh.

He had remained silent the entire time.

The seniors nervously waited.

Veeransh looked at them steadily.

His voice was quiet.

But every word carried weight.

"One prank."

"We understand."

"It ends today."

He paused.

"Our sister..."

"...is not to be troubled."

No threats.

No raised voices.

Just one simple sentence.

Yet it carried enough conviction that the three boys nodded immediately.

"It won't happen again."

"We promise."

The principal smiled with relief.

"I'm glad we've resolved this peacefully."

Aryaveer nodded.

"So are we."

He turned toward the boys.

"Apologize to Aadhya."

All three faced her.

"We're really sorry."

She smiled gently.

"I forgive you."

Then, after a small pause, she added,

"Just... don't do it to someone else."

The seniors looked genuinely ashamed.

"We won't."

Outside the principal's office...

The incident had already become the biggest topic of the day.

Siya whispered,

"Did all six brothers really come?"

Kiara peeked through the glass panel.

"They're all here."

Dev dramatically clutched his heart.

"I suddenly feel very safe."

Arjun chuckled.

"I also feel sorry for anyone who bothers Aadhya again."

Kabir quietly adjusted his glasses as he watched the brothers standing around her.

Then he smiled to himself.

"I've never seen brothers this protective."

The others silently agreed.

As the Rathore brothers prepared to leave...

Vivaan proudly walked beside Aadhya.

"See?"

He whispered.

"I told you."

"You'll never have to face anything alone."

She looked at each of her brothers.

Aryaveer's quiet strength.

Rudransh's gentle concern.

Veeransh's silent protection.

Advik's lighthearted confidence.

Vihaan's reassuring smile.

Vivaan's unwavering loyalty.

Her heart felt unbelievably full.

For so many years...

She had believed she was alone.

Now...

Six people stood between her and every fear she had ever known.

A tiny smile appeared on her face.

Not because her sketchbook had been returned.

But because, for the first time in her life...

Someone had stood up for her.

Without her having to ask.
