Chapter 14-Six Brothers, Six Personalities

"Blood makes you relatives. Little moments make you family."

The word "Papa" still echoed softly in Aadhya's heart.

It felt unfamiliar.

Yet strangely comforting.

As though a place inside her that had remained empty for years had finally been filled.

She stood quietly in the grand entrance hall, still overwhelmed by everything around her.

The mansion.

The people.

The warmth.

It all felt too beautiful to be real.

Vikram smiled gently.

"You've had a long day."

"You should get some rest."

Before Aadhya could answer, she instinctively bent down to pick up her small cloth bag and the scrapbook from the orphanage.

A hand reached them before she could.

She looked up.

Aryaveer was already holding her suitcase.

"I-I can carry it," she said hurriedly.

"It's not heavy."

Aryaveer simply shook his head.

"No."

"It's heavy enough."

She looked confused.

"It really isn't."

He smiled faintly.

"I'm not talking about the bag."

For a second...

She didn't understand what he meant.

Then she remembered.

Everything she had carried alone for the last year.

Aryaveer adjusted the bag on his shoulder.

"Come."

"I'll take you upstairs."

Without another word, he began walking.

Aadhya quietly followed.

For the first time in her life...

Someone else was carrying her burden.

As they climbed the staircase, Rudransh slowed his pace until he was walking beside her.

He noticed how pale she looked.

"Aadhya."

She looked at him.

"Yes... Bhaiya?"

The word slipped out naturally.

For a moment...

Rudransh froze.

Then a warm smile spread across his face.

"Have you eaten properly today?"

She blinked.

"Yes."

He tilted his head knowingly.

"Truth?"

She hesitated.

"I..."

"I was nervous."

"So... not much."

"I knew it."

He sighed dramatically.

"I should've guessed."

He turned toward Ramu Kaka.

"Kaka."

"Please send some food to her room later."

"And warm milk."

"No spicy food."

Aadhya immediately shook her head.

"Oh no, that's not necessary."

Rudransh smiled gently.

"It wasn't a suggestion."

"It was your doctor's advice."

She looked at him in surprise.

"Doctor?"

He nodded proudly.

"Doctor Rudransh Rathore."

"And from today..."

"...your personal doctor."

She couldn't stop the small smile that appeared on her face.

As they reached the first floor...

Veeransh stepped out of the library carrying two thick law books.

He stopped upon seeing everyone.

For a brief moment...

His eyes met Aadhya's.

She immediately folded her hands respectfully.

"Namaste..."

He looked at her quietly.

There was no coldness.

No anger.

Only distance.

After a second, he gave a small nod.

"Welcome."

It was just one word.

Soft.

Simple.

Then he walked past everyone and disappeared down the corridor.

Aadhya watched him leave.

She lowered her eyes.

"He still doesn't like me..."

Aryaveer noticed her expression.

"He isn't ignoring you."

She looked up.

"He just..."

"...takes time to let people in."

Rudransh smiled reassuringly.

"One day you'll understand him."

She nodded silently.

Just thenβ€”

A tiny rubber ball bounced across the corridor.

It rolled directly toward Aadhya's feet.

She instinctively picked it up.

Before she could ask whose it wasβ€”

Advik suddenly jumped out from behind a pillar.

"Aha!"

"I caught the mysterious ball thief!"

Aadhya looked startled.

"I..."

"I didn't steal it."

Advik dramatically pointed at her.

"Exactly what every professional ball thief says."

Vihaan sighed.

"Here he goes again."

Advik continued his performance.

"Return the evidence immediately."

Suppressing a smile, Aadhya held out the ball.

"I'm innocent."

"Hmm..."

Advik pretended to inspect her carefully.

"You don't look innocent."

Her eyes widened.

"I don't?"

"You look..."

He leaned closer dramatically.

"...like someone who secretly eats the last piece of chocolate."

For the first time since entering the mansion...

Aadhya burst into laughter.

A genuine.

Carefree.

Uncontrolled laugh.

The corridor fell silent.

Everyone turned to look at her.

Even Veeransh, who had reached the end of the hallway, paused for just a second.

Vivaan whispered excitedly,

"She laughed..."

Rudransh smiled.

"That's the first real laugh."

Aryaveer's expression softened.

Advik proudly folded his arms.

"My work here is done."

A few minutes later...

Vihaan appeared carrying two badminton rackets.

"I know Papa said you should rest..."

He scratched the back of his neck.

"...but after dinner..."

"If you want..."

"I could show you the garden."

Aadhya looked surprised.

"The garden?"

"It's huge."

"There are swings."

"A basketball court."

"A fish pond."

"And..."

He grinned.

"The best mango tree in Jaipur."

Advik immediately protested.

"That's scientifically impossible."

Vihaan ignored him.

"You don't have to come today."

"But whenever you're ready..."

"I'll show you every corner."

Aadhya smiled gratefully.

"I'd like that."

"Really?"

She nodded.

"Thank you... Bhaiya."

Vihaan beamed.

Meanwhile...

Vivaan had disappeared.

Nobody noticed.

Until his excited voice echoed through the hallway.

"Ramu Kaka!"

"Did you meet her?"

Without waiting for an answer, he ran toward another staff member.

"Shanti Didi!"

"She's here!"

Then another.

"Mahesh Uncle!"

"This is my sister!"

He rushed from one servant to another with the biggest smile imaginable.

"Did everyone hear?"

"I have a sister now!"

"Our sister!"

The entire staff laughed.

Ramu Kaka shook his head affectionately.

"I think Baba has told us at least fifteen times."

Vivaan grinned proudly.

"I'll tell you sixteen."

He ran back to Aadhya and stood beside her like a bodyguard.

Then, with all the pride in the world, he announced once again,

"She's my sister."

Aadhya looked at him.

Nobody had ever introduced her like that before.

Not with pride.

Not with happiness.

Not as though she was the greatest gift in the world.

Her eyes filled with tears.

Vivaan became alarmed.

"Oh no!"

"Did I say something wrong?"

She quickly wiped her tears and smiled.

"No..."

"You said..."

She looked at him with gratitude.

"...something I've wanted to hear for a very long time."

Without thinking...

Vivaan gently held her hand.

"You'll hear it every day now."

The simple promise warmed every heart present.

Watching from the staircase...

Vikram smiled silently.

His sons hadn't realized it.

But in just one afternoon...

Each of them had unknowingly given Aadhya something she had never truly received before.

Aryaveer had given her security.

Rudransh had given her care.

Veeransh had given her respect.

Advik had given her laughter.

Vihaan had given her companionship.

Vivaan had given her belonging.

And though none of them knew it yet...

This was only the beginning of a bond that would one day become unbreakable.

To Be Continued...
